“So if you are offering your gift at the altar and there remember that your brother has something against you, leave your gift there before the altar and go. First be reconciled to your brother, and then come and offer your gift. Make friends with your adversary quickly while you are on the way with him, lest your adversary hand you over to the judge, and the judge hand you over to the guard, and you be thrown into prison. Truly I say to you, you will certainly not come out of there until you have paid the last penny.”
Matthew 5:23-26
If we say that we have fellowship with him and yet walk in the darkness, we lie and do not live by the truth. But if we walk in the light, as He is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanses us from all sin. If we say that we do not have sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and cleanse us from all unrighteousness. If we say that we have not sinned, we make Him a liar, and His word is not in us.”
1 John 1:6-10
