God allows difficulties to come our way for purification
When we hear the words, “all is sent down by you” this does not mean that God wills anything evil to happen but only that we always need to be open to God’s presence, grace and mercy, no matter what. God allows difficulties to come our way as a means of purifying us and drawing us toward Him in a deeper and more profound way. Difficulties and trials come that we may turn toward God in total surrender, with nothing distracting us from our destiny, which is eternity with God.

Praise to God
25 O Lord, You are my God.
I will exalt You,
I will praise Your name,
For You have done wonderful things;
Your counsels of old are faithfulness and truth.
2 For You have made a city a ruin,
A fortified city a ruin,
A palace of foreigners to be a city no more;
It will never be rebuilt.
3 Therefore the strong people will glorify You;
The city of the terrible nations will fear You.
4 For You have been a strength to the poor,
A strength to the needy in his distress,
A refuge from the storm,
A shade from the heat;
For the blast of the terrible ones is as a storm against the wall.
5 You will reduce the noise of aliens,
As heat in a dry place;
As heat in the shadow of a cloud,
The song of the terrible ones will be diminished.
6 And in this mountain
The Lord of hosts will make for all people
A feast of choice pieces,
A feast of wines on the lees,
Of fat things full of marrow,

The surface of the covering cast over all people,

Genesis 9:8-17?
I am still dumbfounded that people can be so cruel and judgmental. All of us are different, and not everyone is acceptable to us because of personalities or appearance, or whatever. But, do dismiss someone, and demand that they be dismissed, and “run out of town”, is beyond my comprehension. We all make mistakes, but for her to be vivified for one letter to a mother, meant, as it were, to be supportive and loving, is beyond me. The bishops corrected her, and she repented. That should be enough, but it obviously is not in some peoples minds. I’m just glad I’m not a bishop.
Thank you Father! I am learning to wake up and say: “The will be done. Help give me strength for today”. We have had so many trials come for the last three years like waves in the ocean that I’m finding I no longer react or panic like I used to do, or if I do, it is very short lived. What I struggle with is when my husband or children are maligned – God doesn’t give Grace to a third party. Through His Grace, Love and Patience with me, I am learning…
