  1. “Youth is wasted on the young” Patients ….patients , something very hard at times for those full of youthful vigor thinking they’ve got a tiger by the tail and see the world as an orchard ripe to be picked(reminds me of a young couple long ago in another garden). “Will I be happy , will I be rich?….que sera ,sera…” at times we’ll throw ourselves to fate, though we may long to know His will , or through impatience, may ask God to “Bless our mess” because we won’t wait on Him. Rushing into something can bring calamity and hardship in friendships, vocation , marriage – trust me folks I know( if one catches a whiff of regret in my writing -yes). Life is learning , and each lesson can bring growth and maturity…. if we’re not thickheaded .
Our travails today are nothing new ,for ringing in the back of my mind as I write :

“That which has been is what will be, That which is done is what will be done, And there is nothing new under the sun.” – Ecclesiastes 1:9

    Blest day, Father.

  2. This verse has helped me during these times…..

    Rejoice in hope
    Be patient in tribulation
    Be constant in prayer.
    Romans 12:12

  3. Amen! a beautiful uplifting talk for us Abbot Tryphon…..

I was just telling a friend that my mom and dad were born into the war and depression and here I am preparing to leave the world in chaos. But as you said, there has always been something going on in history during everyone’s lifetime that needs to be endured, prayed about and overcome.

Hope has a different meaning for some – they hope as in wishful thinking, the divine hope is hope in God – We place our hope and trust in God – because He is caring for all of it and sees all that is happening. Our job is to pray and endure.

  4. I love this video thing. Kind of surprised more aren’t doing this on the Ancient Faith page . Can listen anytime, anywhere.
Reminded me a little like Alistaire Cooke, Roosevelts fireside chats, and even Alistaire Cookie. (sorry I had to throw it in the mix šŸ™‚
I am grateful for your influence on so many, including myself. Always thankful.
